In my work with leaders at all levels, I’ve found that many of the challenges we face come back to the foundational skills – whether this is because they are not yet known, not fully understood, not effectively integrated, not front-of-mind for when you need them, or simply not practised.
Leadership Notebook can help you to develop and embed your knowledge and skills in these foundational areas – whether that’s through our short courses or our self-paced 3-part program “Early Career Leadership: Leading from the Inside Out“.

Early Career Leadership: Leading from the Inside Out
This 3-module self-paced course is comprehensive and workable!
We cover the core foundational aspects of leadership — self-leadership — so that you can confidently and successfully navigate your role and get the best from others.
What’s in the course?
- Clarity: Self-Awareness. The critical starting point. Use our tools and processes in these first three modules to establish the foundations for your leadership – by design, not default:
- Increase your self-awareness and your understanding of how others perceive you
- Clarify your Values and ethics
- Understand who you are as a leader (and how you want to be) and how you can enact this.
- Connection: Relationships. We achieve optimal outcomes when we engage effectively with others. Relationships are the foundation – building connections, good rapport, and trust. Learn to:
- Develop trust with others, quickly
- Easy to remember techniques to communicate with empathy, for impact and outcome
- Motivate and inspire (including yourself, when you need a nudge).
- Competence: Manage Workload. In these modules we look at the foundations of effectiveness at work, based on relatively recent neuroscience research, so that you can deliver your results with confidence.
- Learn when multi-tasking works best and when it doesn’t
- Effective time management that works with your brain (techniques that work, even if you don’t think you need help)
- Make effective decisions, quickly.
What you get
